Cinewav Invention

Our key invention achieves stable synchronisation between audio playing on a smartphone to visuals playing on a computer.

Our technology delivers broadcast quality sync for up to thousands of connected users and is not limited by distance. Everyone can use their own internet service with minimal data (1MB per hour) and have perfect sync.

How Cinewav works?

Cinewav is a platform with 3 main components: web backend, a mobile app and computer app (Master Player).

Web Backend (Event Holder Account)

Event holders can login and create events with audio tickets.

It's a ticketing platform with one important difference - there is an audio file attached to each ticket. This is the audio file that will be distributed to your user's mobile app.

The event holder backend also features order records, reporting and management.

Cinewav mobile app

(Google Play Store, Apple App Store and Huawei App Gallery)

Users install this app to get their audio tickets.

At the event they open their ticket and click PLAY.

Cinewav Master Player

Event holders install the Master Player on their laptops, then login with their account.

Their events will show up.

They then open the event, "open the movie" and press PLAY.

Synchronisation

When you click PLAY on the Master Player - anyone with the audio ticket can join by clicking PLAY on the Cinewav app.

The audio on the Cinewav app will play in sync with the Visuals on the Master Player.

Other Use Cases

The principle is the same for synchronising fireworks, drone shows or projection mapping displays. The concept is simple - the Master Player sends sync signals to all mobile apps keeping them in sync throughout.

For shows other than movies we create a video file that is exactly the same length as the audio file and we trigger the Master Player via TCP commands (play, pause, restart) or DMX. For example when you trigger the start of your fireworks show - simply send a simultaneous PLAY command to the Master Player via TCP or DMX and the Master Player will start playing > which will trigger the Cinewav app to play (in sync). This can scale to hundreds of thousands of users and is not limited by distance (previously impossible with other techniques).

The only limitation is whether the cell phone towers can support the crowd. In our experience, if there are more than 20k people in an area the cell phone reception may go down in which case Cinewav would not work. However, to get around this we recommend having restaurants, bars, hotels to use their private Wifi and plug in a phone to their sound system - allowing their patrons to watch the fireworks or drone show while listening to the music totally in sync. This has been done at the Sydney and Brisbane NYE fireworks.

Fireworks

Cinewav at the control desk at the Danang International Fireworks Festival. Cinewav received TCP triggers to start play - synchronising audio for hotel rooftops and bars, restaurants across the Han river. These establishments could then plugin a phone (with the Cinewav app) into their sound system and their guests could enjoy synced music for the pyromusicals.

Movies

Cinewav delivers immersive, high fidelity audio perfectly in sync with the visuals. This allows any space to be turned into an outdoor or indoor cinema.

Here at Sunday's Beach Club in Bali, Cinewav has given guests an alternative experience to the beach bar at night. They can enjoy the transformative experience of the big screen magic and personlized audio.

Projection Mapping

Here at Vivid Sydney, Cinewav delivered in-sync audio to 10 of the light projection sites. Previously the audio for the Sydney Opera House was played on speakers at the Opera House...anyone standing across the water simply couldn't hear it. The show may as well have been silent. Cinewav solved this issue giving users an immersive, transportive experience for the first time!
